Dr. Doug Schwenka
Dr. Doug Schwenka grew up on a farm near Minden, raising animals and crops. He attended Kansas State University where he graduated with his Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine in 1988, and starting at the Animal Clinic in 1989. He spends the majority of his days outback working cattle and other small ruminants, but will occasionally see small animals when needed. Outside of work, he enjoys spending time with his wife, Linda, and their three children, Jono, Beau, and Madi. Doug is an avid golfer, and if you can't find him on the links, he is sure to be found on his farm raising his cattle.

Dr. Cody Hegemann
Dr. Cody Hegemann grew up on an acreage outside of Howells, a small town in northeast Nebraska. He attended Howells High School and after graduation studied at UNL for 3 years where he received his Bachelors in animal science. He was then accepted into the University of Nebraska-Lincoln/Iowa State University Professional Program of Veterinary Medicine. Cody received his Doctorate in veterinary medicine in 2017 from Iowa State University and started at the Animal Clinic shortly after.  He and his wife Michelle, have two sons, Owen and Liam, and currently live in Hastings. Dr. Hegemann enjoys spending his free time with his family as well as anything outdoors, whether its hunting, fishing or camping.

Dr. Tim Overmiller
Dr. Tim Overmiller is originally from Smith Center, Kansas and attended Kansas State University for both undergrad and veterinary school. He received his Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine in 1988. He started at the Animal Clinic in 1995 after spending time in Iowa and Columbus. Tim specializes in swine but thrives well with all species.  Tim and his wife Susan have four boys, whom they love spending time with. Tim is an avid KState fan and he can often be found attending all types of events. If he's not decked in purple, he's usually out taking relaxing walks with Barry the dog.

Dr. Taw Fredrickson
Dr. Taw Fredrickson joined us from Foosland, Illinois in the summer of 2022. After attending undergrad and receiving his bachelor’s in biology, he attended the University of Illinois College of Veterinary Medicine, receiving his Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine, and also where he met his wife, Rebekah. They moved here shortly after with their dog Aggie. Taw splits his time with us and with Production Animal Consultation (PAC), which is a science-driven, people-focused group of experts that offers protein producers all over the world a competitive advantage through strategic planning and access to a global database of industry data. When he’s not busy, he enjoys sports, wood and leather working, outdoor activities, and attempting to visit all the national parks with Rebekah and Aggie.

​Dr. Lauren Bartholomew
Dr. Lauren Werner grew up on a farm south of Carleton, Nebraska and went to school in Deshler. She attended undergrad at the University of Nebraska- Kearney where she ran cross country and track. She then went to veterinary school at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln/Iowa State College of Veterinary Medicine where she graduated with her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine in 2015. She has been with the Animal Clinic since 2015. She currently lives with her husband Seth and daughter Mia along with dogs Roxy & Tate in Juniata. She enjoys traveling back home to spend time with her family, running and training for races, and riding horses.

Dr. Rebekah Fredrickson
Dr. Rebekah (Schultz) Fredrickson came to join us summer of ’22 all the way from Bartonville, Illinois. Rebekah fell in love with Nebraska/Kansas area after attending undergrad at Kansas State University in Manhattan. Going back home to attend the University of Illinois College of Veterinary Medicine, she received her Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine and also, she met her husband, Taw. Soon after graduation they packed up and moved to Juniata, where they live with their dog Aggie. Rebekah enjoys traveling, outdoor and water activities, and attending K-State, Twins, and Colt’s games when she gets the chance.
